We are proud to be a sustainable salon that helps transform salon resources into valuable materials and collaborate with partners to create new products to give them a second life.
We understand hairdressing is such a wasteful industry and we are so proud to be apart of Sustainable Salons Australia. Sustainable Salons collect, repurpose and redistribute resources. We are able to recycle 95% of our waste in salon. Did you know that for every FULL HEAD OF FOILS it’s equivalent to 1/4 of a meal for a homeless person. All proceeds from repurposing salon materials are donated to OzHarvest and KiwiHarvest to distribute meals for those in need. Peaches Hair Studio provide around 310 meals every month! It takes only 20 PONYTAILS to make just 1 WIG! Sustainable Salons collect your ponytails and distribute them to charitable organisations and local wig makers where they can become wigs for those suffering from medically-induced hair-loss conditions such as alopecia and cancer or help fund other life-changing programs!
Sustainable Salons Australia use the Endeavour foundation for our boutique pickup collection as our waste is separate to the council collection. They are creating stronger futures for people with disabilities by providing purposeful work within their material collection and processing streams.
